No. Youth are not expected to pay for any of the services they receive from Larkin Street. To build financial literacy skills and encourage money management, some of our residential programs include mandatory savings plans, but each young person’s contributions are returned to them in-full when they complete the program.

In addition to a bed, blanket, hygiene items such as soap, toothbrushes, deodorant, etc., clients are able to shower and wash their clothes and access the CASS clothing bank. CASS supportive programs also include case management, employment services, and developmental childcare services for families with children and free dental care at the CASS Dental Clinic.

Yes, some BCCCP clients are eligible to receive cardiovascular screening as well as lifestyle counseling services. These services are only available to BCCCP clients who are also enrolled in the Well-Integrated Screening and Evaluation for Women Across the Nation (WISEWOMAN) Program. The WISEWOMAN Program is an extension of the BCCCP and focuses on Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) risk factor reduction.

Intake appointments and visits with counselors are free for those students who have paid the Comprehensive Health Fee. Faculty and staff are not eligible for services - see Eligibility for more information. Psychiatric medication consultations are free for the first three visits. Subsequent visits can be charged to insurance, or paid for out of pocket.
