The answer to that is yes. Oklahoma requires everyonewho rides a two-wheel motorized vehicle to obtain a motorcycle license.

If you plan to ride on the 'roads' then yes you must be a licensed driver and your vehicle must be licensed as well. However, a drivers license is not required to ride 'off-road'.

Whilst you don’t need a license to hire a motorbike, you can be arrested for driving without one, so be sure to have your home country license if not an international license. Also be aware that you will not be covered by insurance if involved in an accident on a rented motorcycle, despite what you are told. It is important to keep this in mind when choosing to hire and ride around in what are often dangerous conditions for inexperienced riders.

For the BRC you will need either a valid Class M permit or Class M license. You MUST have a valid permit or license for the entire class.

That is a good place to start....we are more concerned with your riding experience than the license though. The licensing requirements are dictated by the state or country your drivers license is from. If your local laws do not require a motorcycle license then you are not required to have one to rent a bike.

Yes. This course is for riders that already have a current, class "M" (motorcycle) drivers license. TCARC does not teach beginning riders how to operate or ride a motorcycle. This course is not associated in any way with any State or Federal agency, or the Motorcycle Safety Foundation, and does not prepare students for taking any driving tests for the purposes of obtaining a motorcycle license.

Yes. Important ? Regardless of age and whether you are licensed or operating with a permit, you MUST wear a helmet during the ERC and all Motorcycle Safety Program courses.

Yes! We encourage students who wish to improve their skills to take either course again. More practice helps both novice and experienced riders. Motorcycling is a perishable skill. Ongoing practice and skill building are essential for safe street riding. Consider taking the ERC every year to maintain your skills. If you don't practice them, you lose them.

Your street-legal motorcycle along with proof of insurance and ownership. (All motorcycles must pass a pre-ride safety inspection (TCLOCS)). Full-fingered gloves, preferably leather, however any type of gloves will work as long as they are full-fingered DOT approved Helmet - DOT approval is dependent solely upon the Rider Coach’s decision. (We do have loaner helmets available if needed)

Yes. You will need a Class 'M' rating on your NY driver's license. This requires passing a DMV written and skills test. You will also need to bring a motorcycle, a car and another driver with a valid motorcycle license to the test. There is an alternative. If you pass the Motorcycle Safety Foundation's Beginning Riders Course it's a waiver of the DMV skills test (see below).

Yes. Your vehicle must have a current Colorado registration to operate in the National Forest. Permit information can be obtained at Colorado State Parks.

You MUST have a VALID motorcycle license to take this course. If your license is expired, you will need to renew it before coming to class. If you do not have a motorcycle endorsement on your license, you will need to take the Basic RiderCourse first and get your M endorsement beforehand.
