Local CCFC volunteer Chapters hold education meetings and other events. In a few cases, they have been authorized to offer support group services led by trained facilitators. MT-NW 3.1 does not support yEnc, even via external decoders. The main issue here is that yEnc-encoded messages contain non-ASCII characters that MT-NW 3.1 strips out when saving the messages to disk. An ugly workaround is to use the 'Export' command, but then you have to drag the saved file onto a helper app manually. MT-NW 3.2 (on OS X) does support decoding of yEnc posts (but not posting of yEnc).

Those involved in support groups should receive training in breastfeeding and young child feeding as well as training in counseling skills and the dynamics of support groups. Yes, Full Circle has a birthparent buddy program by which you can be in touch with other birthparents by phone, e-mail, regular mail or in person. We know it can be helpful to talk with someone who either has been through adoption or who is currently going through the adoption process. We also have a monthly meeting time scheduled at The Birthparent Center for those birthparents who would like to be a part of a local discussion and support group.

The Foundation's grantmaking is focused on three areas: education, advocacy and activism. The Foundation's support is primarily distributed to cornerstone organizations for core operating support, although some support is project-specific or capacity building focused.

ADF provides unsolicited grant support towards projects focused on the development of micro- and small enterprises, export trade and investment activities of small and medium-scale enterprises, and participatory community development projects. ADF may from time to time issue a Request for Applications (RFAs) for other activities. Most of ADF's grants are between $50,000 and $200,000 and are provided in local currency. ADF rarely provides a grant larger than $250,000.

The BLP network creates opportunities to collaborate with other institutions and consortiums to share training ideas and resources and to participate in joint service projects, fundraising initiatives and peer exchanges.
