Shorten (extension .shn) is an audio compression scheme written by Tony Robinson of SoftSound that can compact wav files without subtracting out any frequencies. Easy, go to 'File', 'Open Book File', locate the file you want to move to floppy then 'right-click' on that file and that will bring up a list, in that list you will see 'Send To', in there you will see "3 1/2 Floppy (A)", click that copy your book file to that drive, or go to 'File', 'Save As' then name the file as you would a new book. We can scan existing texts and covers. During the process of scanning a book the cover and binding are destroyed. The final quality of the books that are subsequently printed is directly influenced by the shape of the original. There will be a degradation in quality in some cases (e.g. photographs) due to the process. The printed cover will approximate that of your monitor or printer but it will not be exactly alike. With a compact disc player your on hold programs play continuously by hitting 'play' and 'repeat' on your player. Once it reaches the end of your program, there are a few seconds of silence before it starts over.
