You can protect access to Outlook Express by restricting access to its executable file, msimn.exe, which is usually located in the C:\Program Files\Outlook Express folder. You can also protect individual folders used by Outlook Express by restricting access to the appropriate message files, located in the Store Folder of Outlook Express.

Make a note of what you currently have in the "incoming mail server" entry (the name of your POP3 server). Change the "incoming mail server" from the name of your POP3 server to "localhost" (no quotes). Open the SpamBayes configuration page at http://localhost:8880/config (you can do this via the tray application, or just type that address into your browser). There are some important differences between using WebMail and POP email (email that is downloadable into an email program such as Outlook, Outlook Express, Entourage, MacMail, etc.).
