For access questions, the DNR's Trout Stream Access brochure is a must. The stream portions with public access are usually marked stream-side with small tan metal signs as well. In addition, the presence of stiles (home-made "ladders") over fences are a good indicator of a friendly landowner. Even in areas without "public" access, a polite request often brings permission. Just remember to stay in the stream corridor and respect fences, livestock and property.

We will have you fly casting for fish on the same day of your trip. Keep in mind that fly fishing is more difficult than spin fishing and 1 fish landed on the fly is a great day.

Not likely, since the number of unclipped fish captured in surveys and documented in the creel survey is very small. The absence of clips is generally due to fish being missed during clipping or from regeneration of fins. A dramatic increase in the number of unclipped fish above historical levels might indicate increased natural reproduction.

Most important: watch your fish and know what their normal behavior and appearance is. If you don't know what normal is, you can't know what sick is. I suggest setting up a fish medicine cabinet. It seems like fish always get sick when the store is closed. Aquarium salt (NOT table salt. Most table salts contain additives to keep them from clumping. Kosher or rock salt is OK).

There are no hard and fast rules. Every individual is different and responds to the exercises differently. We know of (rare) cases of almost immediate awakening. Usually the process is more gradual, and it is hard to discern exactly when an awakening actually occurs. The form that it takes too can have many subtle variations.

Trout planting begins in January and it continues through the end of May. We usually plant trout twice per week during this period. In this time 40,000+ trout will be planted; Many of them trophy sized. The trout fishing is good to excellent in all designated trout waters in the area. We do not like to recommend specific locations as it tends to overcrowd these areas. Several years ago I was not satisfied with the accuracy and delicacy of the rods I was using and I contacted the Scott Rod Company to see if we could come up with an ideal rod for this fishing. Finally, after eleven months of testing and changing rod tapers we came up with the Murray's Mountain Trout Rod which is 6 ft. 10 inches long, breaks down to 3 pieces and balances perfectly with a number 3 line.

Often the fly becomes so soaked that the floatant won't help. I use our Murray's Dry-A-Fly Patch to blot the fly dry when this happens then apply our Murray's Liquid Dry Fly Floatant. By doing this I can often fish for hours with the same fly. My favorite dry flies when this hatch is on are the Mr. Rapidan Parachute Dry size 14 and the March Brown Dry size 14. I get a lot of refusals if I use a size 12 dry.

a beginning student you should go at a pace that suits your flexibility and endurance. As you feel more comfortable with the exercises taught in class, begin to practice at home. If you can practice at the same time each day, you will find that you will improve rapidly. Try to take 2-3 kundalini yoga classes a week and at least one workshop a month to establish a firm foundation for an effective program that fits your needs, goals, capacity and lifestyle.

When you look through the online catalog, you will notice that the handholds are pictured with a carabiner to give you a size reference to a standard sized non-locking oval carabiner. If you have a paper catalog, take note of the individual size ratings for each hold in the set. Sizes that start with M (MS, MM, ML) refer to holds that are micros – meaning very small and are sized generally as footholds or more advanced handholds. The holds that say S, M, L, XL, etc.

Generally, there is no specific “spot” to put the holds. The wall is your canvas, and the holds your paint. Generally speaking, on a traverse wall, it is good to put the smaller holds across the bottom of the wall and the larger jugs across the top. This enables the kids to have a good place to put their feet while still having enough hold to hang onto as they learn to traverse the wall. On a full height wall, routes can be set at different difficulty levels.

Through years of experience, we know which species will tolerate each other in the confines of an aquarium. As a general rule of thumb, the larger the aquarium you can afford, the better, as fish (especially saltwater fish) have a tendency to select and aggressively defend territories. As long as an aquarium is not overcrowded or overfed, pH values will generally not fluctuate.

A5. The Missouri Ozarks region has one of the greatest concentrations of springs in the United States. These springs number in the thousands, and range in size from very small to the largest in the world (Big Spring). Springs have played an important role in the development of this state and are a big part of our Ozark heritage. A large number of people in this state enjoy outdoor activities, and have for generations.

Hard to say, it's just this tradition. There's this band I'm in (The Electric Fish), it's a reference to one of the first X programs I wrote (xfish), there are 15 fish-objects (stuffed, wooden, etc) in the room where I'm typing this, etc. And I don't even own any real fish.
