Structural changes will be noticed immediately, and swelling and settling tens to resolve over a months time. The length of stay is variable based upon clinical need. Your child's progress is reviewed weekly and transfer recommendations to an outpatient aftercare program in the childs community will be made once your child is stabilized and meets criteria for discharge. The average length of stay is 60-90 days.
