Yes. Students who wish to transfer to Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD to participate in the International Baccalaureate program may apply as early as 7th grade for Pre-IB status. If accepted, students will not be charged a transfer fee. If the student chooses to exit the IB program or if he/she does not maintain satisfactory progress, he/she will not be allowed to remain in the Hurst-Euless-Bedford schools.

There are two kinds of IB assessments: external and Internal. Some assessment methods include portfolios/Dossiers, written essays, studio works, experimental work, oral commentaries as well as written exams and are tailored for the different learning styles. The decision to open the spring semester for admission is made on a year-to-year basis. Generally when the spring semester is open, it is only open to students seeking readmission to SDSU and upper division transfer students from within the SDSU service area.

The students who begun in the first year at any university are now available to transfer to NPIC. No. Education Technology K-12 Voucher Program vouchers cannot be transferred to any person or entity and cannot be transferred between districts. If your district is unable to make use of all of the vouchers allotted to it please communicate that fact to the California Department of Education which will, per the settlement agreement, make recommendations to the Court on the proper disposition of unused vouchers. Statistically speaking, most students who earned the IB Diploma worldwide were of average or above average ability. It is not a program designed only for geniuses. What the IB program requires students to have are a strong work ethic, good time management and solid study skills. The IB program offers courses at different Levels (higher level and standard level).

IB certificate candidates taking all or some IB classes may choose to take exams in IB subjects of their choice or they may have the choice of not taking any IB exams at all. IB Diploma candidates must sit for exams in all 6 subjects in order to qualify for the IB Diploma.
