Each guest is allowed 15 kilograms of checked-in baggage. Checked baggage in excess of 15 kilograms is subject to excess baggage charge.

Recommended arrival time for domestic flights is at least 75 minutes prior to departure. To ensure an on-time departure, reservations and advance seat assignments may be cancelled if the passenger has not checked in and received a boarding pass at least 30 minutes prior to departure and/or is not onboard the aircraft at least 15 minutes prior to departure. If you are checking luggage, you must do so no later than 30 minutes prior to departure for flights between the 50 U.S. States.

Yes. Normally, the critical aircraft operation is take-off and the runway length required is based on: 1) weight of aircraft, 2) temperature, and 3) elevation. With the runway length and elevation being givens, the remaining factors, weight of aircraft and temperature, will be used to determine the distance the aircraft can fly non-stop. Each airline (aircraft operator) has different criteria regarding aircraft operations under conditions present at the time of flight.

U.S. citizens must present a valid passport at airport check-in as proof of citizenship. If passenger does not have their passport, they must provide one of the following: naturalization papers, certified copy or original birth certificate with photo identification. The airline cannot board any passenger who fails to carry proper documents.

Baggage allowance differs for the transpacific and China sections of your tour. US and non-stop transpacific allowance is two pieces of checked baggage totaling 106 inches (sum of the three dimensions). Baggage allowance within China is one piece of baggage not over 44 pounds per person. For domestic flight within China, there is a 1 bag check-in allowance at 20kgs/44lbs. Carry-on is limited to piece and can not exceed 20x40x55cm or weigh more than 5kgs/11lbs.

Charter airlines are usually more restrictive when it comes to the weight of your baggage. You may be able to pay extra at the airport to increase your allowance, but this can be expensive. Baggage allowance is restricted to 2 pieces per person (20kg per piece) plus one piece of hand luggage weighing no more than 5 kg.

Total weight of carry-on baggage for each passenger may not exceed 5kg. First class passengers are allowed to carry up to 2 pieces. All other passengers shall carry on only one piece. The size may not exceed 20x40x55cm. Carry-on baggage in excess of the weight limit is subject to an excess baggage fee and has to be checked at the baggage control. Free baggage allowance includes checked baggage and cabin baggage (please see "Carry-on baggage").

Starting September 28, 2001, airports will re-activate curbside check-in, which includes Skycap service and EasyCheck-in self-service units where available, at most of its airports. Airlines are working with the FAA and individual airports to ensure that they are in compliance with all security mandates. Customers are required to show a paper ticket or E-Ticket receipt and photo ID to the Skycap before checking baggage.

Online check-in is available for the passengers with or without baggage. It is not need to register your baggage details while check-in. Baggage check-in process might be completed at the airport “baggage drop off point” or “online check-in desk”. Desks are closed 45 minutes to international, 30 minutes to domestic flights schedule departing time. In case of excess baggage, passengers have to consider the time will be spent for excess baggage payment process.

Baggage restrictions vary by Airline and flight. >From the US it is generally up to two (2) checked bags weighing no more than 50 pounds each (this restriction may vary based on Airline specifications), and exceeding no more than 62 inches in dimension when you add the length, height and width. Druk Air provides the standard baggage allowance of 20 kg for economy class travelers and 30 kg in business class. The allowance for carry-on bags is 5 kg.

Cruise lines assign flights approximately 21 days prior to departure. Only then will you know your airline and flight schedule. You may request to customize your flights for an additional fee, plus any additional airfare costs. Without doing so, we are unable to guarantee seat assignments, non-stop flights, specific flight times, or a specific airline. In addition, we are unable to guarantee the same flight schedule if more than one cabin is booked together.

No checked baggage is permitted when using online check-in (including mobility equipment which must be carried in the hold of the aircraft); passengers can carry one item of hand baggage per passenger, weighing up to 7kg with maximum dimensions of 20cm x 28cm x 43cm (8x11x17ins). Hand luggage must contain NO prohibited items. We reserve the right to cancel your reservation and to deny you boarding if you arrive at the boarding gate with luggage in excess of your cabin allowance.

If you change planes en route to Santiago, check with an airline employee to make sure your bags have been transferred. You will clear customs and immigration in Santiago. Be advised that as of 2003, US citizens on their first visit to Chile must pay US$ 100 in cash for their visa at immigration. This amount may change, and other foreign nationals may need to pay differing amounts but always in US Dollars and in cash.
