How do I measure the blade pitch?

I use the pitch gauge made by Miniature Aircraft. There are many different brands out there, whichever one you use place it on the last 1/3 of the main blade. This is the part of the blade that counts the most. The last 1/3 is where almost all of the lifting force comes from. Level the flybar, sight down the pitch gauge and rotate it until the top edge of the gauge is parallel with the flybar.

How do you handle the problem of blade flutter/divergence on the retreating blade?

CarterCopter FAQ on CarterAviationTechnologies.com
There is an instability on the retreating rotor blade caused by reverse flow shifting its aerodynamic center from the ? chord to the ? chord. What's the proper tension for the blade mounting bolts?

FAQ - Dmoz/Recreation/Aviation/Model_Aviation/Radio_Controll...
Opinions differ on this topic, but here's mine... I belive that the tension should be high enough to keep the blades from shifting their lead/lag angles at low rotor speeds (e.g. autorotations), but not so high as to put excessive stress on the blade grip and blade bolt, nor so high as to keep the blades from finding their proper lead/lag positions. Try holding the helicopter with the nose pointing straight up and the blades sticking out sidewise.
