VQube uses upto 20 kbps of bandwidth while you are in a call. User can see the quality of bandwidth on VQube during the call as, “Excellent”, “Good”, “Average”, “Poor” and “Very Poor”. With an average network quality, you can have a reasonable conversation.

That depends on a number of things: how many people subscribe your feed, how many people download your new file whenever there's a new version, and how large your MP3 files are. The the larger your MP3's, the more bandwidth you will use. The more subscribers you have, the more bandwidth you will use. You can calculate the amount of bandwidth by multiplying the size of your file times the number of susbscribers times the number of times you publish new audio each month.

The Netpresenter Desktop Player and Screensaver use a local directory to store information. This self-cleaning cache directory is used to play information so no network connections are needed when the Player or Screensaver is running. Even when the server is offline (or not reachable e.g. notebook) the Player and Screensaver continue to play. Netpresenter regularly polls a server location for news.

The use of bandwidth may vary, but users with any kind of broadband Internet connection (cable, WiFi, T1, ADSL, etc.) should not notice any difference in their Internet connectivity. The client uses very little bandwidth.

Glance uses bandwidth only during a session. Traffic tends to burst up to several hundred kilobits-per-second for several seconds whenever the screen being shown changes. As soon as the updates are sent, traffic returns back to near zero. Most Glance sessions average about 15 to 25 kbit/s, comparable to active web surfing. All traffic flows through the Glance servers.

If you know your website is going to use well over what the super account comes with, you may purchase larger chunks of bandwidth at the start of the month, instead of at the end. This allows us to better plan and purchase what we need, reducing your overall costs. Pre-paid bandwidth adjustments are re-occurring unless otherwise specified.

NPC characters such as monsters and various "travelers" are directed by the Monster Master. If you wish to play a monster on a weekend, you do not have to pay to attend (you must be a member of course). In exchange, you play the role you are assigned.

To estimate this multiply 30720 bytes/sec * count of video streams = maximum value, usually traffic keeps in 1/2 of this value. In peaks one video stream can use up to 51200 bytes/sec if the user continues to move the camera around so the picture changes constantly.

Bandwidth is related to the codec being used. The G.711 codec uses 64kbps of bandwidth. The higher transmission rate in the G.711 codec is a common misconception about VoIP. The G.729 Codec compresses voice to 8Kbps, while the G723.1 codec has the ability to compress voice at two separate rates i.e. 6.3kbps and 5.3kbps. It should be noted that packet overhead (typically 46 octets) will increase these respective bandwidths, so it is best to choose a compressed voice Codec to minimize this effect.

A Freshtel internet phone call uses about 3KB/sec (three kilobytes per second) inbound and outbound. This translates to a little over 10MB per hour. This is based on a single call using the standard codec (iLBC).
