For CAS Exams 5-9, obtain a copy of the examination and the published answers. Answer: The Illinois Nurse Aide Competency Exam is a pass/fail exam. The cut-off score for the pass/fail result is information that cannot be released according to the agreement between the Illinois Department of Public Health and Southern Illinois University Carbondale.

You must make an 80% or above to clearly pass the exam. If you make a 40% or below, you have failed the exam. If you make between a 41-79%, you will receive a score of indeterminate. After a candidate has successfully passed the written examination, candidates must also pass a character and background examination, oral psychological and written exam, drug/alcohol screening, medical, fire safety, and physical agility test.

The State of Georgia low-voltage exam's are difficult. In order to pass you will need to become very familiar with the State approved reference books for your category of exam. PLS recommends for you to focus on the relative chapters and articles where the State exam questions are derived. After registering for the workshop PLS provides to you a study guide which will direct you where to focus your study time.

If you don't pass the certification exam, you may re-take the exam at no additional fee within a month. If you do not re-take your exam in that time period you will be assessed a $25.00 re-test fee.

Candidates may be disqualified from the admission competition for the year under consideration if their interview score is significantly below the mean of the current pool of candidates.

Because the overall difficulty of the test varies slightly from year to year, total scores are equated so that a score of "500" on one exam represents the same level of proficiency as a score of "500" on a previous test form. The number of correct answers required to pass is not reported because it varies slightly from year to year (from form to form).

The final written exam is comprised of 50 multiple choice questions (5 per case study). The questions are based on the objectives of the case studies and include ECGs when appropriate. Each question is worth 2 points. Once the exam is completed, it is graded instantly, and any wrong answers are remediated. Users must score at least 84% to pass the course.
