We will provide you the information that students need in order to purchase the course, via email. You need to provide that information to your enrolled students as soon as possible. COD courses are not available for purchase in the campus bookstore. Students come to the COD website and use the "Students: Purchase Course" form on the left navigation bar to purchase an access code.

No. Students can register to MathXL, log in, and choose their school, and the textbook used in your course to get started on their own. They can take sample tests and tutorials to do self-paced study. If you decide to create online assignments in MathXL, your students can choose your course in the "Instructor/Course" field, and their work will be tracked in your gradebook.

To get back into the course, please close your browser window and re-open it. It should then appear fine. We have found that 90% of access problems are solved by simply closing your browser window and re-opening it. Sometimes an individual might have to open the preferences in their browser, and "clear the cache" or delete their history, but usually all that is needed it to close and reopen the browser.

To activate the course or quiz, you must click the "Click here to continue" link at the end of the online payment screen to fully complete the process. If you cannot access the quiz or course materials after online payment, please notify us through "Contact Us" or call us at 703-478-6833. Once we receive your notification, we will activate the quiz or course for you, and send you an email notification about the quiz or course activation.

Course lessons are released one at a dime over the duration of the course. Most lessons are released every two to three days. You can't access a lesson until its post date (listed on the course home page). After a lesson is posted you can access it at any time before the course end date. Once all of the lessons are released the will remain available for two weeks, which is when the course ends.

The SUNY Learning Network uses multiple servers in multiple locations. All servers"replicate" to each other so that every server is a mirror of the other ones.This means that all courses are on all servers at all times. If a server goes down (intentionally or otherwise) faculty and students can continue to teach and learn by accessing their course on another server.

Although all VUW courses, listed in the University Calendar, are already created and registered in the Blackboard course catalogue, and all VUW staff members have user accounts on Blackboard, it does not mean that staff can enter courses they teach by default. To enable staff access to courses, a staff member needs to be assigned instructor rights to the specified course. This is done on request, though the ITS Service Desk (its-service@vuw.ac.nz; internal phone extension x5050).

By default the coures are unavailable to students. Go to Control Panel => Settings => Course Availability and choose Yes.

When Blackboard courses are created, they are automatically set to be unavailable to students. Before students can access your Blackboard course, you need to set the course to become available. You can do this by going to the control panel and then selecting settings. Select course availability and then set make course available to yes. Click OK and your course is now available to students.

Before students are able to access your course, you will need to make it available by going into the Control Panel under Course Options and click on Settings and set the availability under Course Availability.

Students need to login to the student portal at http://my.fullerton.edu and click the Blackboard tab. Then, they will see the courses they are enrolled.

Students on credit courses, and/or on certificate or diploma programmes, who have paid their credit fees, will receive a student card. This also serves as their library card. Students on interest courses can apply to get a readers card at an additional fee.

Check your User name (WebAdvisor User ID- usually your first initial + last name) and Password (7 digit COM ID number OR if a COM employee your Outlook Password). Perhaps you forgot to accept Java. Log out and log back in. When the Java request appears, accept the affirmative prompt option Apply, OK, Run, or Yes. Check to see if your browser is compatible (Internet Explorer, Netscape, AOL, Mozilla, Firefox). Click on Check Browser.

We're the only school in the Tri-State Area that certifies through both of these organizations rather than just one. Our sailing, cruising and navigation courses all lead to the appropriate level of certification through ASA or US Sailing. These are important credentials: they prove that the school you're attending has met nationally (and internationally) recognized minimum standards, and that you'll have proof of the same upon successful completion of the course.

Anyone can use the course, there are different pay scales depending upon your group's classification. Purdue students are afforded the lowest rate.
