Active R&D has been undertaken by private companies, universities, and National Laboratories to advance all aspects of aluminum extrusion technology. A comprehensive collection of past work can be found in the Proceedings from the International Aluminum Extrusion Technology Seminars, known as "ET" for short. These are available from the Aluminum Extruders Council via their Publications list.

Activities to be conducted in 2005 involve conducting an evaluation of alternatives which will lead to a decision about the preliminary design for a preferred alignment of both the main line and interchanges.

The integrity of an extrusion is much more consistent than that of a casting. Castings are inherently more porous due to their manufacturing process, and this results in more material used for structural applications. In result, the aluminum extrusion is inexpensive(dies) and take shorter time than casting manner. ?@

Healthcare improvement projects are generally small-scale, local interventions designed to improve an internal process or outcome at KUMC. These projects aim to improve the care for specific patient populations. Because they are limited to a particular setting, they may not be generalizable to other environments.

The tools required for aluminum extrusion - dies and related elements - are relatively inexpensive compared with those necessary for other production methods. Initial investment may be quickly amortized and even a fairly small production run may pass the "bread even" point, thus economically justifying the use of extrusion.

We have also expanded our clinical and patient care activities. We have attracted some of the nation's top scientists and cancer specialists, who are part of our multi-disciplinary teams of doctors.

Though MTBE has been the subject of much research, substantial scientific uncerctainties still exist. To facilitate the advancement of crucial scientific knowledge needed to assess and manage the potential health and environmental risks MTBE and other fuel oxygenates in the environment, EPA identified several key issues in "Oxyfuels Information Needs" (1996) and "Oxygenates in Water: Critical Information and Research Needs" (1998).

The applicant is responsible for compliance with Department regulations and guidelines. Supervisor approval and endorsement indicates only that the professional development activities identified in the Individual Professional Development Plan meet school and district improvement goals. If a supervisor requires an educator to follow a certain course that the educator believes is inconsistent with the regulations, the educator should contact the Department of Education.

There are two common methods of vinyl fence manufacturing: mono-extrusion (single layer) and co-extrusion (two-layer). Some manufacturers maintain and advertise that mono-extrusion is better. Which is better for you? In mono-extrusion, the fence profile (in sizes such as 2" x 6", 5" x 5", etc.) is made out of one layer of material. This process puts ultraviolet inhibitors (which protect the vinyl from sunlight) all the way through the product, even on the inside, where they are not needed.

There are many techniques that a researcher may use to gather your opinions and experiences. You may be invited to participate in focus group discussions with other people (typically 4-8); you may be interviewed in person, or on the telephone; be asked to complete a paper questionnaire or an online survey; trial an existing or new product; watch a television pilot or preview a movie.

Activities can be run at all times of the day and evening, and sometimes on weekends; but the most common times are 6pm and 8pm Monday to Thursday. You will always be advised of the session time before you commit to any participation.

Visiting labs in groups are not practised as a policy. However, interaction with the scholars would be organised.

A record form has been developed in conjunction with the AACA/RAIA Joint Policy on CPD where architects can record the continuing professional development activities they have undertaken. The Board has developed a Record of CPE Activity for architects.

You may use staff development activities towards CARES professional development requirements only if your participation in the activities was not mandatory, but rather reflected your choice of topics based on your own professional development goals.
