Other than the parties of the marriage, only the brother/sister, child/step-child or grandchild, parent/step-parent or grandparent, authorized agent, attorney or legal representative is authorized to obtain a certified copy of a marriage certificate. The appropriate form must be completed.

You must either come in person to our office, or submit a written request. The written request must include the groom's name, the brides name at the time of the marriage, date of marriage and place of marriage. You MUST SIGN your request and give an address where we are to mail the certified copy. The fee for the certified copy must accompany your written request. The request is filled the day we receive it and it goes out in the next business day's mail.

If you have been married in the province of Ontario, you may apply for an official government copy of your marriage certificate from the Office of the Registrar General, at least 8 to 12 weeks after the ceremony has taken place. The application for this certificate can be obtained by clicking on the Request for Marriage or Death Certificates link or picked up at the City Clerk's office at City Hall.

The Registrar of Vital Statistics can provide copies of a marriage license if the marriage was performed in Freehold Borough, or if a birth took place in the Borough. Please note for a child born at CentraState Hospital, it will be necessary to contact Freehold Township at (732) 294-2010.

If you applied for your marriage license in Harrison, then you may get a copy of your marriage certificate from the Town Clerk. Ask yourself where you got the license, rather than in what Town you were married, as that is where your license is filed. If you can't remember, you can get a copy from the Department of Health in Albany. Every dog over 6 months of age must be licensed. Licenses are obtained from the Town Clerk, and are valid for one year, and must be renewed annually.

To obtain a certified copy of your Marriage License the court needs to know the first and last names of the Groom, the first and Maiden (or name prior to marriage) names of the Bride, and the date of marriage. (If the exact date is not known, give an approximate year.) The cost of a certified copy is $1.00 for a short form or $2.00 for a long form, both qualify as certified copies.

If your marriage took place in Ashe County, you may request a copy by mail or in person. Copies are available at least 10 days after the wedding ceremony. You can obtain a certified copy of a Marriage License(Certificate) by requesting in writing, in person or by phone.
