If you are currently not on your spirit squad, you must submit a letter to appeal for exemption from this requirement. Please describe in the letter the circumstances that preclude you from being a member of your school's spirit group. The head coach will review your appeal, and will notify you if you will be eligible for tryouts.

Our program constantly recruits all year long and there are two ways in which to receive an invitation to attend an Orange Squad tryout session. One, veteran members of the Orange Squad are allowed to invite potential candidates should they meet them or observe them in person. this time tumbling is not required to tryout for the squad. Tumbling is encouraged and is part of the judges score sheet. If you cannot tumble you should show a round-off or cartwheel. These will give you points under the tumbling category. Mats are provided at tryouts for tumbling.

FOOLs talk a lot. Some of us have very high post counts... it used to be that people would get congratulated when they hit a major milestone in their post counts... every 500 or 1000 or so. Eventually people started celebrating any post count that ended in a double zero; and there were so many FOOLs saying congratulations to so many other FOOLs that their own post counts shot up and... it was starting to get a little out of hand.

The cheer and dance season is a year round sport. Tryouts are held in the spring, and throughout the summer team members will be required to work on skills and attend collegiate summer camp in July or August. Practices vary throughout the school year depending on upcoming performances, appearances and competition. Generally we practice three-five times a week plus games.

Yes, if you choose to tryout for the Orange Squad and are not chosen, you can then request for consideration for the White Squad. It is still highly recommended that you attend the each of the separate tryouts should you choose to do so. Orange squad tryouts will be held before white squad tryouts.

A squad may have up to six members and is a subset of the overall team. Each team may have up to nine total squads. Each squad has a designated squad leader (SL) that accepts orders from the commander (CO) and relays them to their squad. The SL then uses his best ability to organize their squad to complete the CO's orders. To join a squad, a non-squad player can hit the join button next next to any squad name.

Auditions are typically held during the months of March and April. Prior to the Open Call auditions, interested contestants will have an opportunity to register and participate in a Pre-Audition Workshop. The auditions for the 2007 squad have already been held.

While romantic relationships between cops who work in the same precinct are taboo, the show has always danced back and forth over that official line.
