To express interest in a FEMA travel trailer, call FEMA Helpline and ask the agent to check rental resources in your desired location. If there are no rental resources in your desired location, your agent will forward your request to the appropriate team and you will be contacted. Please be sure to keep your contact information (address AND phone numbers) current.

A helpline representative will ensure that someone will get back in contact with you. the current time, there are no FEMA programs designed to assist with these type expenses. We would encourage all displaced evacuees residing in your home to register for disaster assistance.

If you are eligible for housing assistance from FEMA but are unable to find a rental house or apartment within a reasonable commuting distance of your damaged home, please contact FEMA at 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or visit a nearby Disaster Recovery Center. FEMA will evaluate your situation and, if appropriate, may authorize a travel trailer or mobile home.

When am I going to get my assistance from FEMA? The American Red Cross is not going to continue to pay my hotel room and they told me to call you.

Your auto policy will provide liability coverage while the travel trailer is attached or being towed. Only Other Than Collision coverage is provided for accidents that occur in Mexico less than 25 miles from the border on trips that are less than 10 day in length. You should purchase Mexican auto insurance to cover the days of travel in Mexico before traveling there.

Every 10,000 miles or once a year. Haveyour wheels inspected completely and the bearing's repacked they will at that time determine any needed brake shoes, magnets, adjuster springs, etc.

You cannot register for Mobile Homes and/or Travel Trailers directly; you may later be referred and possibly determined eligible as a part of the registration process. You may be referred based on a combination of information about available rental resources in a geographic area and information about your specific needs. Not all requested sites may be appropriate for Mobile Home/Travel Trailer placement (lack of utilities, flood zone, etc.

When FEMA makes our initial assessment of your site to decide if it is possible to place a travel trailer/mobile home at your home, we include any requirements for ramps. To properly weigh a travel trailer, it should first be weighed, including the tongue weight, while detached from the pulling vehicle. The actual overall weight must be less than or equal to the GVWR for safe operation. There are other weight considerations and guidelines that are important to consider for travel trailers. Please refer to RMA's RV Tire Care and Safety Guide for specific instructions on weighing RVs and travel trailers.

Sonoma County ordinances generally do not allow occupancy of a travel trailer on private property unless it is located in a mobile home park or, for limited time periods, in a recreational vehicle park. However, a travel trailer can be used while a home is under construction on the property, provided that a permit is obtained (see next question).

Our goal for the travel team program is to give players a playing atmosphere that is more competitive than the intramural program but one which still concentrates on the two key elements of the intramural program, "Fun and Fundamentals". Our current situation with RV's is as follows... We cleared a small lot directly across the street from the event grounds for RV's. As the lot is not overly big, we do not have room for dozens of RV's. The price of an RV lot pass is $100, as we are providing security for the RV lot for the duration of Chilifest. The lot is located across 3058 from the event grounds.

Most roads in the Park are county and state roads and are open to RVs or travel trailers. The Pierce Stoking Sceinic Drive has some steep hills and tight curves. For that reason, there is a parking area at the entrance of the Scenic Drive for you to drop off your travel trailer before taking the drive. You can pick it up on the way out.

StormReady is a volunteer program separate from FEMA's Pre-Disaster Mitigation Program; however, the two programs compliment each other by focusing on communication, mitigation and community preparedness to save lives.
