Vintage heat transfer iron-ons were made from plastisol ink that was printed onto special transfer paper. The ink was printed in reverse on the paper and coated with fine adhesives to help it adhere to the t-shirt. A professional grade heat press is then required to release the transfer design from the paper and adhere it to the t-shirt.

T-Shirts will be given out prior to the event at the Registration and Expo. T-Shirts will not feature the word 'finisher' on them. PLEASE NOTE: T-shirts are printed to order, please be careful when selecting your size as they cannot be exchanged.

With special paper called transfer paper or T-shirt iron-on paper, you can print the iron-on on all ink jet printers. You can purchase the paper online or at craft and office supply stores. Call first to confirm stock. My local office supply store discontinued selling them. Look for paper that requires the graphic to be reversed as that's how they are in your party file. Avery may have a product that has you print without reversing. Print ing mirror image will solve this problem.

We ask that each walker raise at least $100 in order to receive a free Walk to Cure Diabetes t-shirt. Walkers who raise $100 or more will receive a ticket at registration that they can redeem at the t-shirt table for a shirt. After registration has been completed, remaining Walk t-shirts will be sold for $10 each.

Yes, all of our heat transfer iron-ons are originals from the 70's and 80's. These are all original dead stock from retail stores that closed their doors. Because these heat transfer iron-ons are over 20 years old, we test all of them to make sure they still look great but please remember that due to their unique nature some designs may show slight variations.

A hand iron cannot be counted on to produce perfect results every time. This is especially true of hand irons that shut off automatically if held in-place without moving for more than a few seconds! The key to good application results lies in your ability to heat apply transfers with the correct temperature, time and pressure as provided by each transfer paper's manufacturer.

All teams with team t-shirts are automatically entered into the team t-shirt contest. Three celebrity judges will be judging the shirts during the Walk and choosing finalists. The finalists will be invited to participate in a team t-shirt fashion show to take place at 1:30pm. The winner of the contest will be selected by audience cheering.

Yes & No ? Yes the process is the same in that your logo is printed using an ink jet printer, a carrier paper and applied with heat. No ? In that the materials and equipment we use are not the same. We use pigmented inks (not water soluble) in a wide format high resolution printer. We apply the logo with a commercial heat press at high temperature and most importantly under high pressure. This results in a significantly better print than you can get at home.
