What is the YPbPr output mode?

AccuPel HDG-2000 HDTV Component Video Calibration Generator
This is the three-cable HDTV analog component video signal interface used by most Direct-View and Rear-Projection HDTVs. Connections at the display are usually made with BNC or RCA phono connectors on each cable. Y is the luma signal. Pb and Pr are color-difference signals. Sync signals are embedded in either the Y signal (Bi-Level sync) or all three YPbPr signals (Tri-Level sync per SMPTE 274M and SMPTE 296M). Displays that conform only to EIA 770.

What is YPbPr?

HDTV Frequently Asked Questions
YPbPr represents component video connections, where luminance (Y) is represented by a green jack, separate from the color components blue (Pb) and red (Pr). Most high-definition sets today support this format. These colors should not to be confused as RGB output. Click here for a glossary of other HDTV terminology. See similar questions...

Why can both Bi-Level and Tri-Level sync be turned off in the RGB output modes but not in YPbPr?

AccuPel HDG-2000 HDTV Component Video Calibration Generator
Both Bi-Level and Tri-Level sync can be turned off in the RGB output modes because some manufacturers do not put any embedded sync on the RGB signals (the RCA-DTC100 Satellite Receiver is one example). They rely instead on the separate H (Horizontal) and V (Vertical) sync signals to synchronize the display. In this case if the display is calibrated with Bi-Level or Tri-Level sync turned on errors in black-level and color saturation may result. See similar questions...

How do the two output pulses differ in the Pulse Generator mode?

BNC | FAQ | Model 625/630/632 | Frequently Asked Questions (...
In the Pulse Generator Mode, both the SIG OUT and SYNC OUT provide pulses that are identical in time. The SIG OUT allows variation of the level; the SYNC OUT is fixed. See similar questions...

What is the RGB output mode?

AccuPel HDG-2000 HDTV Component Video Calibration Generator
Most Front-Projectors, some Rear-Projection HDTVs, and all computer monitors use RGB component video signals. Computer monitors and most projectors accept separate H (Horizontal) and V (Vertical) sync signals in addition to the R (red), G (green) and B (blue) signals. The RGB/HV signal format requires 5 separate coax cables, although they are often enclosed in a single jacket. The cables can be terminated with separate connectors, usually BNCs, or with a computer-style VGA 15-pin D-connector. See similar questions...

What is the YPbPrs output mode?

AccuPel HDG-2000 HDTV Component Video Calibration Generator
This is the YPbPr mode with a 7.5 IRE black-level setup (pedestal) on the Y signal. This mode is intended for compatibility with some consumer upconverters that convert standard-definition YPbPr component video with 7.5 IRE setup, to high-definition YPbPr component video without removing the setup. However, many DVD players also have an "Enhanced-Black" or "Dark" option to remove the 7.5 IRE setup from their YPbPr output. See similar questions...

What is the RGBs output mode?

AccuPel HDG-2000 HDTV Component Video Calibration Generator
This is the RGB mode with a 7.5 IRE black-level setup (pedestal) added to the R, G and B signals. This mode is intended for compatibility with some consumer upconverters that convert standard-definition YPbPr component video with 7.5 IRE setup to high-definition RGB component video without removing the setup. However, many DVD players also have an "Enhanced-Black" or "Dark" option to remove the 7.5 IRE setup from their YPbPr output. See similar questions...

Not all transmitters support 'Output PPM' mode because some of them are not PPM transmitters (like Walkera PCM model WK-0701 or E-flite Blade CX-2 P5DSM) and some others not having a Trainer switch. See similar questions...

Why I cannot overwrite the @...GET output by @...SAY in GUI mode?

VFS FAQ - FlagShip Frequently Asked Support Questions
Since this is illegal, also in Clipper ;-) The display should/need to be handled by the GET object itself. In textual mode, which has only one screen layer = the screen buffer self, you of course can override this HW buffer and hence "tricking" the object display. See similar questions...

In TUNE mode, why do I see a V-Phi output that is not centered at 0 Volts?

STAR Cryoelectronics : pcSQUID™ Support: FAQ
If the V-Phi output in TUNE mode is not centered at 0 Volts, the PHASE is not properly set or the mixer offset trimpot needs to be adjusted. In TUNE mode, maximize the V-Phi output by adjusting the BIAS, MOD and PHASE. If the maximum V-Phi output is not centered at 0 Volts after adjusting the PHASE setting, open the top cover of the PFL-100 (the one with the label) and adjust the trimpot to center the V-Phi output. How do I put NcFTPd into verbose mode so it generates debugging output in the logs?

NcFTPd: Frequently Asked Questions: Troubleshooting
If you're using version 2.7.0 or later, and you ran the install_ncftpd.pl script, then the script should have shown you the location of the restart_ncftpd script. Usually this is at /usr/local/sbin/restart_ncftpd. Edit the script and change the "NCFTPD_VERBOSITY" line to read "NCFTPD_VERBOSITY=-v". If you're using version 2.6.3 or earlier, then you are probably using /etc/inittab to launch NcFTPd. Edit the command line so that you use a "-v" flag when you launch it. See similar questions...

How is the Carrier Output Mode of the HT48XA0-2 and HT48XA0-1 setup?

Holtek Semiconductor - Remote Type MCU Series FAQs
Set the Carrier Output Frequency by configuration option from the formula fCARRY = (fSYS / 4) / (mx2n), where m=2 or 3 and n=0~3. Set the Carrier Duty Cycle by confiruation option, if m=2, the duty cycle is 1/2, if m=3, the duty cycle can be 1/2 or 1/3. After these steps are taken, set PC0=0 which will enable the Carrier Output. If set the PC0=1 will disable the Carrier Output at low level output. See similar questions...

Why do I not see the output when I run certain daemons in debug or interactive mode?

Fedora Project, sponsored by Red Hat
SELinux intentionally disables access to the tty devices to stop daemons from communicating back with the controlling terminal. This communication is a potential security hole because such daemons could insert commands into the controlling terminal. A broken or compromised program could use this hole to cause serious problems. There are a few ways you can capture standard output from daemons. One method is to pipe the output to the cat command. What is "Group Mode"?

Minidisc Frequently Asked Questions
Introduced on the Panasonic SJ-MR220 recorder, group mode allows tracks to be placed in distinct groups ("folders") on a Minidisc. This is quite helpful when several albums are stored on a single Minidisc since each album can be placed in its own group and treated [when group mode is enabled] as if it were the only set of tracks on the Minidisc. Up to 99 groups can be created, and tracks can be moved between groups (a track cannot be placed in more than one group however). See similar questions...
