A toaster oven can be used to bake the clay. However, toaster ovens do not have consistent temperature and may place the clay object too close to the heating element. Being small, the heat in a toaster oven can be even more intense. We recommend that the door of the toaster oven be left open while baking. Check the clay at every 5 minutes interval. It usually takes a much shorter time to harden the clay than baking with a conventional oven at 130?C.

Yes! Most toaster ovens work well for one or two cookies. Set the timer for eight minutes or bake the cookies at 350? for 8-10 minutes and watch closely, since ovens vary in heating ability.

Microwaves heat the water molecules in food products - there is no water in Sculpey clay. It will not work. Sculpey needs a source of heat for a period of time to properly bake the clay to its finish.

Our development staff doesn't recommend a toaster oven because of its small size and the proximity of the heating element to the container.

Fiberglass and carbon fiber hoods can “post cure” after production. What is post cure? Post curing occurs when resin gets hot or hotter than it did during the production process and the resin actually shrinks and moves, resulting in heat marks or small dings that can look like hail dents. This normally occurs on hot, sunny days or when your engine gets extremely hot, raising the temperature of the hood.

While it is not specifically an oven cleaner, Cillit Bang Power Cleaner Degreaser can be used safely and effectively on grease in ovens and on a wide variety of surfaces where tough grease is a problem. Cillit Bang Power Cleaner Degreaser is designed for use on floors and work surfaces and other areas in the home. It is not designed for use as a drain cleaner and we would recommend that a specific product is purchased for that problem.

PURE uses Fake Bake as it is one of the longest lasting fake tan products available, and it has a natural green base to the liquid, so there is no danger of getting that 'orange kissed' look. We use the salon strength Fake Bake Gold lotion in the salon, which has more antioxidants and DHA (the tanning ingredient) than the standard strength Fake Bake sold in department stores.

Flint River Ranch canine formulas are slowly twice oven-baked under carefully controlled conditions and proper temperatures. In the oven-baking process, a small 2-inch biscuit is baked, moving slowly through the oven, then broken into smaller, irregular kibble.

This is easier to demonstrate than to explain, but I'll try. There are size limitations for hand firing. Don't try to hand fire a piece made with more than one pack of clay. You can use any torch that will get the clay to the right temperature, butane mini-torches and propane torches are both popular. I now use only Premo! or Fimo clay. I love this clay because it's very durable unlike the Sculpey I used back in the 80's and 90's.

Yes. By using a 'hair trap' or 'sink strainer guard' to prevent drain clogging and by taping it with duck tape or plumber's tape to ensure safety from going down the drain. The kits do have a fiberglass screening in it with flat lid and card instructions for protecting your drain. Our Clay Dissolving agents assist in easy clean-up.

Refer to the "Choosing a Clay Body" section of our catalog (See page 3). It will guide you through the many choices you have in selecting a clay body that is appropriate for a specific project. Any of our clay bodies can be mixed to your moisture specifications, although there is a 2,000 lb. minimum. If you have a customized mixture for clay you may need to wait until that particular clay body is scheduled to be mixed. Please inquire upon placing your order.

You can mix acrylic paint directly into the clay before applying it. You can paint the dried clay with acrylic paints, chalks, oil pencils, embossing powders and Pearl ex powders. Basically anything you can use to color paper or cloth you can use on the paperclay. If the clay has not been sealed prior to the coloration process excess moisture will soften and rewet the clay so caution should be used. I recommend Super Surface sealer by Design master. I get this response from many doll makers.
