Our recommended browser is normally configured to use scripting when it is installed, and this is required for full performance of PLANTS. However, you may have set your security settings or firewall software to disable scripting. For example, in Microsoft Internet Explorer, setting your security level to "High" (Tools> Internet Options…> Security) will disable scripting. Many new web servers will preprocess a web page before relaying it onto the clients browser. By embedding scripts into these pages, the server can change the way the page is created before it is even sent to the user. The IBM Reflexive User Interface Builder comes with several languages pre-configured (perhaps future versions will have more), such as Python and JavaScript. When I try to play a course, nothing happens or I just get a gray screen. I am using Internet Explorer.

We take advantage of special features only available in the Microsoft Internet Explorer browser (Version 5.5 or higher). These features are not supported by Firefox / Mozilla.

Applications using DOI names can be constructed on a web site with full functionality behind the scenes. For some applications, this may require additional functionality such as that supplied in the Handle System. DOI names are URIs (URNs) not URLs: they are names, not locations. Most web browsers support locations (URLs) but have limited functionality for names, though this is expected to improve substantially in the near future. However, DOI names are useable with browsers immediately.

This is the case if you already find values set where you would enter the proxy details, or if anything is entered under Automatic Proxy Configuration (in the case of Netscape and MS-IE 3.0.) It's probably a firewall proxy between your company and the outside world, or a caching proxy if you're using an ISP. What needs to be done in this case is to use the forwardfile option to tell the Internet Junkbuster the address of the other proxy.

We do not utilize any text-based simulation modeling language that requires you to learn another language in order to conduct simulations. As you draw your process map, you are automatically creating the base model. You can then add preliminary data such as resources, durations, costs, etc.
