You may convert Metastock format into Text format data using the MS Downloader. When you are converting metastock format into txt format, you need to select date, open, high, low, close, volume and open interest only. Please don't select ticker symbol and time.

It is the file format used by Michael Eisens Cluster program. Basically it is quite simple and you can find a description in the Genesis Operation Manual. The solution to this problem is quite simple. Gene names are displayed, if the size of gene cells (gene height) is 10 pixels or more. To use data stored in a database with FnCharts, you need to prepare simple server-side script (or two scripts: one for intraday and another one for end-of-day data, if you use FnCharts Professional or FnCharts Advanced) that will be used as data source for FnCharts. The script (or scripts) will then be responsible for fetching the data requested by FnCharts form your database and sending it back to the applet (in a format recognized by FnCharts). You need to convert your data to the HTK parameter format (you can eiter use the USER parameter kind or pretend they are MFCC or similar). Typically this involves writing a small programm that does the conversion. For an example see HTKWrite.c This happens if you try to compile HTK 3.3 using GCC version 4. If you know the name of the quad, click on FTP via Alphabetical List ( http://edcftp.cr.usgs.gov/pub/data/DEM/7.5min/ ) or FTP via State ( http://edcwww.cr.usgs.gov/doc/edchome/ndcdb/7_min_dem/states.html ). The Alphabetical List has all the available 7.5 minute quads in separate directories by the first letter in the name of the quad, so BOULDER_CO is in the B directory near BOULDER_WY.
