The exam can be attempted by any candidate who fulfills the eligibility requirements. Eligibility is outlined in the Candidate Handbook. Applicants must agree to abide by the Code of Ethics. Upon payment of the appropriate fee, applicants who do not pass the exam after the first attempt may re-take the examination one additional time without re-application for licensure. This must occur within six months from the first failure.

The exams are held in June/July and December/January each year. You may be postponed one week or one term or even one year for acceptable reasons. The student must confirm the exact day of the exam three weeks in advance. If you do not sit your exam, the College will assume that have withdrawn from your studies.

Yes. However you may only sit the exam in an overseas centre that you live or work in, unless the overseas centre in question had a reciprocal agreement with neighbouring countries. If you want to use the massage to help yourself, your friends and your family, you do not necessarily need to sit and pass the Diploma exam. You can simply attend the four-day training. However, if you wish to practise professionally in the UK - in order to receive insurance cover, you MUST present a Diploma from the Centre in your name to a reputable insurance broker. Ultimately, the choice is yours.

Guest students will be automatically registered for all the examination dates (appelli) for all the courses they have taken. the end of each exam students must always sign the examination register (verbale d’esame) which will also be signed by the professors. This is very important, otherwise the grades will not be included into their transcripts of records.

You have a maximum of 3 attempts at the MRCPCH Clinical exam before you must re-sit the Part 2 Written exam, provided your Seven Year Registration period is valid.

Given enough notice, sittings can be arranged anywhere. If there are fewer than three candidates at a location, candidates may incur additional costs.
