Nitrogen assist laser cutting leaves an oxide free finish on both mild and stainless steel. Unlike oxygen assist cutting nitrogen produces a receptive surface for subsequent painting or coating with no problems of rusting. Using nitrogen assist cutting is a more expensive process but there are as indicated significant benefits.

Shop air has oxygen and when exposed to petroleum based fluids or grease, can diesel (explode) under pressure. Pure oxygen is even more volatile. Other gases are expensive, corrosive or explosive. There are several grades of nitrogen gas available. For use in bladder accumulators, we recommend Commercial/Industrial Grade. This is the most common grade available and the most cost effective. It has been used with bladder accumulators for over 50 years. The average purity is 99.5%.

When this cream is applied daily, you can expect to see significant improvement within 10 days, and a complete clearing of the skin within 30 days. In some cases, an increased redness or flare-up has been reported for the first two to seven days. With severe acne, this process may last up to ten days. Stick with it! Pre-charge pressure refers to the amount of gas (air is used in Flexcon tanks) in psi that is pumped into a tank prior to installation – usually at the factory. Most tanks are provided with a 28-psi pre-charge (38 psi in Flexcon’s two largest sizes). The pre-charge is the “spring” that helps to create water pressure. As the diaphragm fills with water, it compresses the pre-charge.

Your tanks should be pressurized to 2 psi less than the cut-in pressure setting (for example, if your pressure settings are 30/50, then you cut-in pressure setting is 30 psi and your tank should have a 28 psi pre-charge).

You must completely drain the tank to check pre-charge. To do this, shut the power off to the pump and open (turn-on) a faucet in the house. This will drain the tank and not allow it to refill. On the top of the tank you will find an air valve (similar to the air valve on your tires) – use a tire pressure gauge to check the air pressure.

We use Oxygen Free Nitrogen (OFN) for leak testing. It would be illegal to re-gas a system to use the refrigerant as a means of leak detection. The pure form of Nitrogen is a naturally occurring gas in the air that we breath and so is safe and legal to use. The Nitrogen is inserted into the system under high pressure thus simulating a system in operation and revealing any leaks in the system.

Allied offers a conversion bracket that will allow a mini-excavator mounted AR Series hammer to be pinned onto a skid-steer style bracket. We call it an XSF conversion bracket. This bracket provides two mounting positions to facilitate horizontal or vertical hammer operation.
