A2: Beginning February 1, qualified residents of economy housing who want to take advantage of the offer must sign up (in person) at their local housing office. Signing up for the decoders is required to be done in person as each customer will then receive instructions from Housing office personnel on how to get written permission from landlords for the installation of decoder systems within their property.

There are seven distinct AFRTS Music Services available with the AFN Decoder and also at most base and post cable systems. All times are U.S. Pacific Standard Time (PST).  All of the music services are available full time to listeners with access to AFRTS satellite decoder boxes. For best results, ensure that your QuickTime sample rate settings are set to the same sample rate as the audio file you are playing back. This is a never-ending debate and people have different opinions. Everybody agrees that the encoder is much more important than the decoder anyhow. Connect headphones to your soundcard and do some listening tests yourself - the higher the bitrate, the larger the file and the better the sound quality.
