Aluminum grilles are most often used in wall or ceiling applications because they are lighter in weight. Aluminum grilles are also rustproof and therefore perform better in moist locations. You are about to tackle one of my favorite jobs, removing a cast iron tub. Cast iron tubs weigh about 300 pounds. The outside of your cast iron bath is black and rough to begin with, but can have a smart and elegant appearance with a bit of preparation... sand the outside to make it smooth and then use either an oil-based primer followed by the emulsion colour of your choice, or an oil-based paint on its own. Provided that the first coat is oil-based, your bath should not show signs of aging (rusty colouration) through the paint and will have a durable surface to which paint can safely adhere.

Although cast aluminum fixtures will not tarnish, it is still recommended that that you take a soft, dry or damp cloth and wipe down the lantern weekly to remove any dust or debris. Cast iron pans fresh from the factory usually are treated with a coating to prevent them from rusting before they sell. This coating is not good to eat and it may contain plastic or wax, so it's a good idea to go over your pan with steel wool before seasoning the pan or using it for the first time. After scouring it with steel wool, wash your skillet or pan in hot soapy water and then place over heat until dry.

I'm a recent fan of cooking with cast iron cookware. My interest started with my frustration with Teflon coated pans and their tendency to lose their nonstick coating over time. A cast is a rigid casing wrapped around a broken bone to keep it from moving while it heals. The cast must remain in place until the doctor removes it. If the cast is broken or damaged, the bone might not heal properly. Swelling sometimes occurs when a bone is broken; it can be helped by elevating the affected limb.
