SMS, or Short Message Service, is basically straight text characters, simple mono-phonic sounds, and B&W pictures made up of text characters. (You cannot take a photo and send it using SMS.) An MMS message can include full-colour graphics and polyphonic (real musical) sounds, as well as short video clips. With the appropriate phone, you can take or download photographs and send them to your friends and family.

With MMS, you can send pictures, animation with a combination of sound and longer text messages, up to 1,000 characters* per message. SMS, on the other hand only allows you to send static picture messages with simple drawings/cartoons and is limited to 160 characters per SMS sent.

If you receive a message it will not cost you anything unless you have requested a picture or file to be sent from another source such as the internet.

SMS message can be up to 160 characters. If you send a long message the network will transmit the additional characters over 160 as a second SMS message. The number format you are using is invalid or the number is not a GSM number. If you are in the network coverage and your credit is valid you should be able to send SMS. In some countries (in roaming) as a guest user you can receive messages, but you are not able to send them. Check if your messages' memory is full.

All SMS messages that you are charged for leave our network correctly on their way to the destination number. However, it is the responsibility of the destination network to deliver the message. Unfortunately, if your SMS message is not received on the desired handset then there is nothing we can do, even if the network is on our coverage list. No refunds are given for unreceived SMS messages.

SMS messages are not case sensitive. You can use small letters, capital letters or the combination of both for your mPAY transaction.

No, the Service does not support Video Call and SMS/MMS. However, you can continue to use these services via GSM/3G if they are included in your existing SingTel Mobile plan. SingTel does not bar BRN registered mobile numbers from activating through SEND. It is the responsibility of the company to ensure that only authorized employees are allowed to activate the service.

Currently you are allowed to backup up to 1000 SMS and 100 MMS. You will need to delete some messages to continue backing up. In future, we will be offering packages which will allow you to store more messages.
