There are two possibilities here. It is generally considered best to transfer in an entire degree rather than just a number of courses. For example, if you transfer in an Associate of Arts Degree, you will be pretty much done with your general education requirements and most of the courses you take here will be in Criminal Justice. Credit for coursework taken on a non-credit basis is evaluated on an individual basis. A student requesting review of coursework taken on a non-credit basis should submit official transcripts for evaluation to the Enrollment Services Office. The Registrar will consult with the appropriate Division Chair, if necessary, and will determine if credit is warranted. The student will be notified when the review is completed. Going directly from high school to a university does require foreign language for most university admissions. However, if you are a "transfer student" with 30 or more college credits, you are no longer required to have a foreign language and your admissions is based on your college cumulative GPA and if required an essay, letters of recommendation and interview. CCRI has Transfer agreements with over 75 schools, nationwide. Transfer planning should begin as early as first semester, freshman year.
