Our company sells bacterial products to reduce the odor and digest solids in all types of outdoor toilets. We constantly receive e-mails from people who want information on constructing privies and outhouses. In most cases, their intended use is on property used only seasonally such as a cabin or hunting or fishing camps. Rather than questions about the building itself, their real concern seems to be how to dig and configure the earthen pit and how a pit toilet actually works.

Our members have built guitar-shaped, odd-shaped, and rectangular cases with success. We do not know of any detailed plans. Rectangular cases are relatively simple to build, and there may not be commercial cases available for unusual instruments. Most folks who've built a guitar-shaped case report feeling that it wasn't worth the time it took to build, and wish they'd bought a commercial case first and designed their guitar to fit it.

We've had good luck with stock plans from the various plan books found at your local Home Depot or Lowes. We also like the website HousePlansAndMore.com for their breadth and ease of search. Others include Frank Betz, Don Gardner, and Jannis Vann and Associates, Inc. We have been able to make pencil modifications to many stock plans without having to go through the process of completely redrawing them.

The Airport Master Plan includes a new parallel runway (5R-23L) which would be 7000 feet long and approximately 850 feet east of the present primary runway. The Master Plan also reflects an 824-foot extension to the crosswind runway bringing that runway to 5,700 feet. These runway projects will be developed based on operational demand and availability of funding.

Provided you are an AMATEUR builder, you may build a second boat from the same set of plans at a discount of 10% of the plan price, for the second sail number. If you want to build more than 2 boats, then we have to bring up the question of whether in fact you really are an AMATEUR builder or a PROFESSIONAL builder. Yes, foursquare-type designs (like the Alameda) are less expensive to build than bungalow designs, (like the Sellwood) that have dormers, and living space within roof cavities. The reason for this is that a hipped, or pyramid-shaped roof is easier to hand frame or build out of trusses than a dormered roof, that has multiple angles and intersections.

Yes! Our Airport Layout Plan (ALP) shows a third runway situated southwest and parallel to the existing primary runway, 3/21. However, we are in the processing of changing our ALP to reorient the third runway to be situated parallel with Fairchild Air Force Base’s Runway 5/23. At this time, our aviation operations (take-offs and landings) do not require the addition of a third runway. Design and ground breaking is at least ten to fifteen years away.
