You may take a shower, tub bath, and wash your hair in the sink any time after 24 hours following the procedure.

You may take a shower from the neck down right after surgery. It is important that soap and shampoo do not contact the operated eye. This will help avoid irritation of the eye. During this time, a family member, a friend, or your hair dresser can wash your hair while you are lying back, but you should wear your metal shield and an eye pad over the operated eye. After one week you can resume normal showering and shampooing.

You can do any or all of these straight away. The vital thing is to avoid anything getting into your eye and irritating it so that you want to rub it. Some people find that getting a partner to help is effective. You can also wash your hair over the edge of the bath, or, if you do shower-rinse your hair, try it with your back to the shower. The best shampoo to use is Johnson's Baby Shampoo.

However, you must get the advice of a qualified professional (a licensed contractor with plumbing and electrical experience) before proceeding ahead with your plans. Yes. The door and enclosure must be totally enclosed, so the steam does not escape from above. A 3/8" gap at the bottom of the door will allow cooler air to enter the shower for a more dense steam experience.

A Yes, although there is generally no need to do this. That's because the fibre used in the design is non-porous and therefore doesn't absorb the everyday dirt, grime and smells that human hair does.

It seems silly, but you will have to get your doctor's permission to take your first shower. Baths will be allowed later than showers. You will be given permission to shower usually somewhere around 5-10 days. The doc wants to make sure the wound is healed enough so the risk of infection is minimal. He will also tell you to wrap your knee in a plastic bag, or something similar and tape the top and bottom so it is watertight. You need to keep the water out so there is no chance of infection.

Normally, you can shower 24 hours after an operation on your abdomen (tummy) and take a bath after 48 hours. It's a good idea to make sure someone is around when you get in to the bath, in case you find it uncomfortable or tricky to get out. Don't rub or wash the scars, gentle washing in warm water with a mild soap or body wash gel, avoiding the actual scars is all that is needed. Usually, if for some reason it's not O.

Secondly, the primary purpose of soap or detergents is to get water and oils to mix with one another so that they can be removed (by the combination of soap and water) from the body. So what you end up with is a mixture of soap/detergent, water, oils and dirt. Unless you are able to completely able to rinse this out from all of the tiny cracks and crevices of your watch's case, bezel, bracelet, etc. this slurry of materials will accumulate in nooks and crannies on/in your watch.

Non-Abrasive cleaners will work great on this surface. There are no special ways to treat this type of acrylic surface. Continue to clean the unit just as you would your normal fiberglass or acrylic shower. Spray a non-abrasive cleaner onto the surface and wipe down or wash away weekly.

You can shower or bathe the day after surgery. Avoid getting soap or water in the eyes or immersing in the ocean, in a pool or in a Jacuzzi for al least 1 week after the surgery.
