No. Every project is different with the prices varying according to project type, medium, difficulty of installation, etc. We encourage you to call for pricing information. You can not put a square foot price on art. It is not wall or floor covering. It is for the most part a permanent fixture that expresses not only the personality of the artist but of the owners for which it was designed. We can provide estimates, but only after we have the answers to certain questions.

Unfortunately, the figure is unique to each house since no two custom homes (or the lots they're built on) are identical. If you're looking at a custom builder's display, a better question might be, "What's the base price of this particular house, excluding the lot?"

The easy answer is between $50 and $60--for the most part. Obviously, a little 36' ranch with no options isn't going to be the same price as a 76' long tri-level with $16,000 worth of options. We build both, though. This question is actually a little misleading, though. A site-built home often costs around $100 per sq. ft., or more--but that includes the foundation, on-site plumbing, and hookups. When you add these things to our homes the sq. ft.

This is by far the most asked question and the most difficult to answer. There are just too many variables. A simple rectangular home without many interior log walls would be considerably less per square foot for a similar size home with interior log walls, additional corners, stairs and handrails, etc.

There are a number of things that can cause the cost of the project to vary. One of the things is the preparation of the area where the concrete will go (Is it grass, hard dirt, rock, soft dirt, landscape granite or old broken concrete). As you can see, in each case the amount of work to prepare for the new concrete can vary greatly, from just leveling the soft dirt to using a jackhammer to remove old concrete. The amount of labor and the type of equipment used or needed is a major factor.

For the same reason that new cars are not priced by dollars per pound, the most fair answer is: It depends. While the amount of stone required for your project is a significant part of the price, there are other variables. For this reason, we prefer to first understand the variables of your project and then issue a prompt preliminary estimate. We are careful to avoid any appearance of bait and switch marketing that can occur on the low end of our marketplace with square foot pricing.

Square foot pricing is the worst and most inaccurate way of comparing builders & housing value. There are thousands of items in a house and hundreds of hours labor. Something as simple as the finish on a faucet, or the type of wood used in the bath vanity cabinet can raise the price of the bathroom. Also, window design and configuration, whether or not the home has a fireplace, etc. all affect the square foot price.

New homes usually cost around $170 per square foot, whereas remodeling often runs $200 to $500 per square foot and even higher, depending on the project specifications. Unlike with a whole new house, remodeling projects costs vary greatly based on old work included, accommodations for continuing occupants, the product mix such as kitchens, baths and, finish levels.
