What is Biodiesel?

Biodiesel.org - Home Heating Oil
Biodiesel is a clean burning alternative fuel produced from vegetable oils and animal fats through a chemical reaction and meeting ASTM D 6751. Biodiesel contains no petroleum, but it can be blended at any level with heating oil. It can be used in home heating oil systems safely with no modifications to the fuel tanks, pumps or burners in concentrations up to 20% biodiesel with only minimal precautions (see conditions for use section).

Why is your biodiesel so expensive?

Frequently Asked Questions
is cheap. Petroleum fuel is heavily subsidized in the United States. If it paid its fair share for healthcare and security it would be two to five times more expensive. We subsidize the true cost of petroleum diesel on tax day rather than at the pump. References: 1, 2, 3, and 4. We retail the cheapest B100 to the public in the state.
