I master all my pictures at the standard resolution at 72 dpi and then optimized for jpeg. The problem could be your LCD monitor or it could be your AOL/Netzero browser. The default setting for AOL/Netzero to compress all graphics. Big Bad Divas images and graphics are already optimizing so that it does not make your computer run slow but they would look clear.
