The SetCom is a half-duplex system. This simply means that two way communication between the Master and Remote Stations is carried on a single cable (coax or mic cable) and in only one direction at a time.

Take two instances of Windows sound recorder from Accessories->Multimedia and record a file (on one of them). After recording is over, play the file. Now try recording on the other sound recorder while playing the first one. If you are able to hear the first recorded file, and the second one later (which you recorded while the first one was being played), your recording and play back would be working fine and you have full-duplex sound card installed in your machine.
