There are two RJ45 ports at the back of the Bluetooth Access Point, LAN and Uplink (port with a X sign). If you are connecting directly to one PC, under windows 98SE, 2000 or XP, either Parallel or USB is usually fine. However, the way XP handles USB devices may cause you to lose the device occasionally. This is because XP assigns virtual USB ports to multiple devices on the same USB bus. If the plotter is switched off or disconnected when the PC is booted up, it may be found later as a new device on a different virtual port, and the driver may need to be installed again.
