Computer terminals are located within our office and are available to the public during normal business hours to research mortgages, deeds and other documents affecting real property within Nassau County. Knowing your section, block, and lot will be helpful when researching a property.

The Register of Deeds Office provides deed copies at $.05 per page in the office. You may also obtain a copy by visiting the Online Search on our web site.

You may obtain an official copy by visiting the Recorder of Deeds office or by mail. To obtain a copy by mail complete the Deed Copy Order Form (pdf).

You get your deed when you close on your house (purchased your house). Your satisfaction (paying off the mortgage) has nothing to do with your deed.

A copy of your deed may be obtained at the Assessor's Office (781-581-0212), which has copies of deeds dating back to 1965.

The Broward County School District is a GED testing facility. All requests for verification of GED test scores and official GED transcripts are handled by the Florida Department of Education, GED Testing Office through their Web site (http://www.firn.edu/doe/workforce/ged_dipl.htm) or call them toll free at 877-352-4331.

A - You can obtain a copy of the violation from the Buildings Borough Office where the property is located.

It isn’t necessary to mail or bring us a copy of the recorded deed. The Assessor’s Office accesses all recorded documents from the Clerk & Recorder’s Office that concern ownership changes.
