In order to be open to everyone, particularly given the transient nature of New York City, we have no official membership or membership dues. KZ's operating expenses are covered by voluntary contributions of all sizes from people in the KZ community. The suggested yearly contribution is $36 (averaging $3/month), but all contributions are appreciated.

For regular members, OESA dues are a function of the company’s OE sales volume in North America, and can range from $750 to $17,500 per year. For Affiliate Members, OESA dues are $3,000 per year, regardless of the size of the company. Divisional Members of OESA have a parent company that is already a member, and pay $1,000 per year. Think of dues as a form of Tzedakah, not as a fee for service. Annual membership dues contributions sustain this institution and make it possible for us to provide programs and services to all. Dues are our major source of operational income with which we pay our ongoing expenses for educational and program materials, building operations, security, insurance, salaries and annual support of the Union for Reform Judaism (formerly the Union of American Hebrew Congregations).

A sizeable amount of the dues pays for a property manager. The property manager serves many functions, such as being the main contact point for issues and complaints, handling office affairs like billing and collecting dues, monitoring compliance with deed restrictions, and a host of other items. In short, the property manager is a full time representative for the board of directors and may be asked by the board to do many things.

Circle K is an international organization and your dues go towards paying international, district, and club dues. Your dues provide resources like a monthly magazine and scholarship opportunities, in addition to paying for club necessities like transportation and service project supplies. We also have fundraisers you can participate in to receive money back from your dues payment.

The dues are kept to an absolute minimum. OBS is a not-for-profit organization, so there is no motivation to make money. All club officers, committee members and ride leaders are volunteers. The dues cover the expense of printing and mailing the newsletter, maintaining the OBS website (cost of domain space only, domain name registration and site maintenance are donated), cost of room rental for monthly meetings, and various other miscellaneous club expenses.
