To subscribe, visit the relevant page referenced in the previous Q&A and follow the directions there. To unsubscribe, visit the same link. Scroll to the bottom of the page and enter your email address in the last field then click the "Unsubscribe or edit options" button. From there you can simply click the "Unsubscribe" button. A confirmation mail will be sent to your email address. To confirm the unsubscribe request, simply reply to that message.

First, we try to obtain mailing lists through local medical associations, as part of our endorsement agreement. Many lists hosted on SCN's server are managed by Information Providers or other local groups, not by SCN itself. Whether you can participate in these various organizations' mailing lists is up to the organizations involved.

To subscribe to most email newsletters and mailing lists, you must send a message containing your name and email address to a central computer. This computer adds you to the list. Most email newsletters and mailing lists publish a Web page with subscription information, and many let you subscribe directly from the Web page.

With a Web browser, visit http://www.math.utah.edu/mailman/listinfo/, choose a mailing list, and then follow the Subscribing to ... instructions. Use the same procedure to unsubscribe from a list. All local mailing lists require membership to post to them, so there should never be any spam on them. All are currently low-traffic lists, with only a few posts weekly.
