Travel agents are paid by suppliers such as airlines, cruise lines, hotels, car rental companies, tour operators. It does not cost the client anything more to use a travel agent. In fact, travel agents can often get a better price for a customer than if the customer was going direct themselves.

A Buyer's Agent agrees to accept whatever compensation is offered by the Seller. Generally, Sellers offer (through their Listing Agent) a commission of 2?-to-3% of the total sale price as Buyer Agent compensation.
