Usually normal findings results are available for mailing to you within three weeks, if an abnormality is noticed, in certain cases you are informed at the time of screening, and/or your personnel physician is informed, with your written consent.

No. RediClinics have a limited scope of practice, which is one of the reasons you’re in and out so fast. RediClinic clinicians do not treat broken bones, lacerations, or chronic conditions, such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure, or diabetes. However, RediClinic clinicians do administer screening tests that are related to the above-mentioned chronic conditions.

Preschool screenings are available for children between the ages of 3-5. The screenings are available to parents who have concerns about their child’s development. The screenings address speech, cognitive and motor development. The schedule of preschool screenings can be found in the school calendar.

Health screenings include body mass index, body fat measurement, blood pressure and a blood glucose/cholesterol.

Fecal Occult Blood Test (FOBT) is a simple test that can be taken in your own home. The test requires a smear sample of your stool on a guaiac card. These cards will be evaluated for hidden blood in the stool. This is a possible sign of colorectal cancer. This test should be done annually. Flexible Sigmoidoscopy: A physician will insert a lighted flexible tube in the rectum and look for evidence of cancer or pre-cancerous polyps in the lower part of the colon.

The system includes diagnostic tests to determine student performance on each California state content standard. To determine readiness, the Testing Center includes an alternative form of the test that can be taken as a posttest prior to the exit examination date.

In most cases the test is performed on blood drawn from a vein. The blood is checked for the presence of antibodies to HIV. Other body fluids can also be tested to screen for HIV. These include: Oral Fluid Tests -- These tests use oral fluid (not saliva) that is collected from the mouth using a special collection device. The sensitivity and specificity (accuracy) of the oral and urine tests are somewhat less than that of the traditional blood tests.

Several blood tests are offered by various laboratories, and many health care providers don't know the differences between them. The accurate ones are the HerpeSelect test, produced by Focus Technologies; biokit-HSV-2, produced by Biokit USA; and the Western blot HSV test, which is used by research labs and isn't very often commercially available. Be sure that one of these was used; if not, then your result might be falsely positive.
