Ear Candles are not proven to remove ear wax. Most people use ear candles to promote rest and relaxation. Some people claim that ear candles soften and dry up ear wax and hence promote the natural removal of ear wax.

Anywhere that is fireproof and away from flammable objects.  Do NOT place candles near flammable or combustable substances such as gas or chemicals, or place them into flammable areas such as a tub with hanging shower curtains. Use your best judgment and common sense about fire safety, especially if you have children or pets who might knock them over or play with them when you’re not looking, and NEVER leave candles unattended, even if they are encased in glass.

We use the finest quality of container wax available in our candles. It is a low burn wax so your candles burn longer than most others. It is a soft, creamy consistency so the scent molecules attach throughout the melting process creating a stronger scent that remains throughout the candle. The soft wax also allows the dye molecules to attach better so your candle will not fade over time.

Assemble tab and wicking by clamping wick tab onto the end of the wicking with needle nose pliers. Suspend this assembly from the top of your votive holder either with a wick bar or with a pencil. Center the wick tab at the bottom of your votive holder and keep the wick as straight as possible. The wick tab should just slightly touch the bottom of the votive holder. Pour candy around wick tab and wicking. Melt Gel Candle Wax in pan on stove top over low heat for 10-15 minutes or until liquefied.

There are many reasons that gel could cloud: Overuse of fragrance can cloud gel. Do not use more than ? ounce (one tablespoon) of fragrance per pound of gel. Moisture in your gel could make it cloudy. Make sure that the gel is stored properly so that water or moisture cannot get to it or forms inside the container it is stored in and that your melting pot and candle containers are completely dry. If you pour your heated gel at a temperature of 200 deg.

Soy candles will burn all the way and not do as we call "tunnel" IF you burn them right. The first time the candle is lit, be sure to burn it for at least 2-3 hours, or until the wax is melted all the way across the jar.

Candles and incense are not allowed in bedrooms. Retreat leaders, please speak to the host staff before using candles and incense in meeting rooms.

No. Because of the risk of fire, burning of candles and incense are not allowed in your room or in your residence hall.

The candles wax becomes very easy to remove when becomes warm, so simply dip your candelabra or candlesticks in hot water for a few minutes (our grandmother used to do it in a large bowl) so that the wax will become warm and can then, be easily removed. Don't forget to wipe all the excess water immediately with a soft dry cloth so no drop stains will remain.

Many nonflammable items can be used as embeds in gel candles. Glass items work great, sand, seashells and beach glass are good for the bottom of the candle (make sure they are clean or they will cloud gel). You can also use wax embeds with a high melting point of 140 F or higher (our wax embeds are specifically for gel candles) and pour your gel very cool so as not to melt the wax embeds. Use your imagination but be careful.

Our fire insurance policy prohibits candle burning. There is a $50 charge for any cleaning associated with wax spills. We have provided lights with rheostats above all spa tubs to offer softer lighting. Today many things are labeled “flushable” – this might be all right in the CITY but up here with our septic system, we ask that you do not flush ANYTHING down the toilet except toilet paper. Candle burn times vary due to many different reasons. First, placement of your candle is very important. Candles in drafty areas will burn quicker. Types of wax and fragrance oil contribute to differing burn times. Wick height is another factor. The longer the wick, the quicker the candle will burn.

Other factors that affect burn time are: the ambient temperature of the room the candle is burning in (colder air means longer burn time); for hand-rolled candles - how tightly the wax was rolled around the wick (it's important for the wick to have good contact with the wax; less air--tighter roll--the better); and drafts. We are finding more and more that our customers prefer the Natural Soy Wax candle that we offer, due to the fact that they put out far less soot than other types of candles. Many feel that their Natural Soy Wax candles give off a stronger scent, and because it is a slower burning candle, they seem to last longer than other types of wax.

There is no reason to burn your gel candle to the very bottom. You may risk a potential fire problem if you do. Burn the candle to about 1/2" from the bottom.

Consider the force that would be required to extract a thick substance, such as ear wax. Even in a very softened, fluid state, the suction required would be intense. It is just not possible for a flame at the end of a hollow cone to generate enough suction to move a solid, or even a liquid.
