My Yorkie puppies are trained to use a dog litter box and in that litter box I put a blank(unprinted) piece of newspaper. They have been trained to use this box since they started to walk. By the time you get your Yorkie, she/he has been using the box for about 6 plus weeks or more depending on the age of your puppy when you get it. Yes, you will need to groom your Yorkie. The puppy cut requires no maintenance on your part. But you will need to brush them daily so they do not become tangled.
