If you are presented with this issue you need to call technical support to have a new licence number issued to you. When you call technical support you will be asked for your user key, this is found by either going to "tools" which is found in the main menu and then "Register STACC". Paying of Motor Tax on private vehicles is based on the cubic capacity of the engine. Paying of Motor tax on commercial/goods vehicle is based on the unladen weight of the vehicle. Paying of tax on buses is based on the seating capacity. You can tax for three or six months or for one year. Tax discs expires on the last day of the month.

If a permit holder changes and/or recieves new licence plate(s), Parking Services must be notified of the change.

The practical driving test may be undertaken at any time provided that you meet the relevant age/experience criteria. Temporary discs are no longer issued. Testing centres now carry out roadworthiness testing without the vehicle having a current tax disc displayed.

Our brand new (pre-registered) vehicles will include 6 or 12 months Road Fund Licence. With used vehicles we are unable to supply the vehicles with tax therefore, you must have an insurance cover note, along with the green part of the V5 (Logbook) to obtain tax at the post office.
