Coordinate with your florist to provide fresh flowers for your wedding cake. Please verify with your florist that the flowers have not been sprayed with any chemicals. Also, unless your flowers were specifically grown to be eaten, please remove them before serving.

With the exception of our signature cake, The Queen Elizabeth , we do not offer fresh strawberries as a filling option. Since the wedding cake is on display during the reception, the fruit has a tendency to break down and deteriorate. This is often compounded by the fact that many reception facilities just do not have the extra refrigeration space to spare, so the cake could possibly be without benefit of refrigeration all day.

Flowers can be an important design element for special occasion cakes. I recommend using sugar flowers which are virtually life-like, completely safe and made of edible materials. If you decide to use fresh blossoms, please consult carefully with an experience floral designer to insure that only safe, pesticide-free and non-poisonous specimens are used. If you have a hand tied bouquet or fresh flower arrangement, it is best to trim the edge of the stems about ¼ inch and place them in water. If your flowers are in a bouquet holder, you may wet the oasis (the green foam) as long as you do not moisten the flowers, themselves.

Yes. At every event, one of our staff members is available to cut and serve the wedding cake. There is a small fee of $50 for this service. You are welcome to have a family member perform the duties as well. We will also wrap the cake topper for you to take at the end of the event.

We love doing cake flowers ourselves. We can work with you to discuss your design ideas and pull them together into a personal arrangement.

Once the design has been established, if flowers are to be a part of the exterior decoration, these are often coordinated with the bridal flowers. At Cakes Galore, we will advise how many blooms will achieve the design and ask that the bride request more flowers from her florist. In order to have matching tones, it is important for all the flowers to come from the same batches.
