A matriculated student is a student who has filed an application to be admitted to a degree or certificate program, has been officially accepted, and has registered for the specific term for which he or she has been accepted. Matriculated students may attend on a full-time or part-time basis. A non-matriculated student is one who has enrolled in one, but no more than two credit courses, and has not been admitted as a degree or certificate candidate in any program within the college.

GNM students should register for all courses through Non-Degree Enrollment. Registration materials and instructions will be mailed to successful applicants the quarter they are accepted. The off-campus programs are in a lock-step sequence, meaning that Appalachian offers only certain prescribed courses per term and those courses are sometimes pre-requisites for later terms' courses. Should a student miss a term within the given cohort, it is their responsibility to make up the course(s) missed--and that may mean coming to campus to acquire the course(s).

If you are currently attending another CSU campus, you may be eligible to take courses at Sacramento State in the summer as an "Intrasystem Visitor." If you are not a student at another CSU campus, you may take summer courses at Sacramento State on a space available basis through the "Open University" registration procedures.

To take courses at another school, students need a "transient form" from the Registrar's Office. Students must have this form completed by their Dean's College. This form can be obtained in 266 Spidle. This form requires 24 ? 48 hours for approval. Transient forms can not be faxed. Concurrent enrollment (being enrolled in another institution while taking classes at Auburn) is not allowed.
