The "PB GUID AUTH: UNKN" kicking means that your Game client is not sending a valid cdkey to id's cdkey auth server. Usually this is due to a problem with your cdkey entry. Exit Quake3 and then use your Windows explorer program to find the baseq3 folder where Quake3 is installed on your system and delete the file called q3key. Launch Quake3 directly and before you get to the game's main menu, it should ask you to enter your cdkey.

A GUID is a number or string unique to each player. In order to be allowed to play in most ladders and cups on ClanBase, you will have to register a GUID so people can identify you when there is a doubt who is actually playing. How to find the GUID and what it looks like depends on the game. Be sure to check the rules of the ladder and/or cup you play in to know which GUID you need to register. On the game's Options screen from the main menu, go to the Multiplayer area and you will see a PunkBuster checkbox. This checkbox is used to Enable and Disable the PunkBuster client. Alternatively, you can use a text editor to edit the pbclgame.cfg file in the "System/pb" folder and enter the line: "cl_punkbuster 1" (to enable) or "cl_punkbuster 0" (to disable). If you do not wish to use PunkBuster any longer, you may remove the entire "System/pb" folder inside your game folder. By removing this folder, the PunkBuster software will no longer be available.
