The computer system will not automatically pick up a repeated course. When the repeated class has been graded, submit a completed Repeat Form to Enrollment Services. The original grade remains on the record and the lower graded course is marked as a repeated course. The highest grade received will be used to calculate the cumulative grade point average. This situation occurs if you complete courses after your degree has been posted. Your degree is posted as of a fixed date and is not changed. If you later finish incompletes in elective courses, or take further coursework which changes your cumulative GPA, your degree GPA will not be changed. The only exception is when a professor sends in a change of grade indicating there was a miscalculation resulting in the wrong grade being awarded (in a course completed before your degree was awarded). I'm afraid I don't remember it, exactly. As an undergrad, it was roughly 3.75, and I graduated magna cum laude with high honors. As a grad, it was roughly 3.85. Pretty much everyone in grad school has a high GPA, though. Oh, and the grading at UCLA is easier than the grading at Cal Poly Pomona, so it's little bit easier to get a 3.75 there than it is here.
