All trips are equipped with a satellite phone on and off the river. In each of our travel destinations, we have specific plans for evacuation in the event of an emergency. Depending on the incident, we are able to get you to a quality medical facility—either within the destination or back in your country of origin—quickly and efficiently. Please talk to our Global Descents representative about purchasing the recommended travel insurance for your next adventure.

The University Health Center, a state of the art outpatient health care facility, is located on the corner of College Station and East Campus Roads. It is easily accessible by bus and has a free patient parking lot. The staff of 200, including 18 physicians and 65 health care professionals, offer a wide range of medical services including women's health, sports medicine, allergy shots, physical therapy, dental care and counseling.

We do our very best to provide necessary veterinary care for any animal that is sick or injured upon arrival. We rely on our local veterinarians to recommend treatment.

We regularly medicate and care for sick and injured animals in our Shelter. We ask people to volunteer to provide foster homes for sick/injured animals while they are recuperating. Sick and injured animals recover more quickly and thoroughly when they are in a home and not suffering additional stress in the confines of a cage or kennel at the Shelter. It depends upon the severity of the injury. If this is a minor problem that quickly resolves, allowing you to return to class and make up any absences you may have accrued - maximum of three (3) classes – then you should be OK. If you have a more severe illness or injury that forces you to miss several classes then you will soon fall out of compliance with the research protocol. You will be unlikely to complete the class and would therefore not receive a passing grade.

We have an RN on site and an urgent care clinic just 3 miles from camp. We also have ALS ambulances with paramedics and 3 air ambulance companies that serve our area just 3 minutes away from camp. Maybe! We have only two phone lines, so campers don't have access to call home at will. Parents are encouraged to call us to discuss any questions, concerns or just to get a "welfare check". There may be times when it will be appropriate for you and your child to speak. Please just call us first.

In the event your pet should need medical attention while in our care, he/she will be taken to Hwy 620 Animal Hospital across the street from our facility. Outside of regular business hours, your pet may be taken to the Emergency Animal Hospital at 12034 Research Blvd. Every effort will be made to notify you in such an occurrence. The cost of veterinary care will be your responsibility and must be paid in full upon pick-up of your pet.

Qualified trainers will be each Academy location to care for minor injuries and illness. Parents and guardians will be contacted immediately if there is a serious injury or a child needs to leave for a medical reason. Please make sure to include any medical conditions that our trainers need to be aware of on the medical release & waiver.

If this occurs, you will be notified immediately if the problem is severe. If the problem is minor, you will be notified in writing when you pickup. If there is an emergency and vet care is needed, we will transport your dog to your own vet. You will need to call your vet to give them permission to treat. All medical costs will be assumed BY YOU. Please refer to our waiver on the register page for more details. Remember that even normal dog play may result in some type of injury.

Most travelling incidents involve nothing more than cuts and bruises, or a brief spell of travellers tummy; there is no reason why you should contract stomach trouble if you take sensible precautions. Those people that do encounter ‘travellers tummy’ will usually find that this is merely an inconvenience. Our leaders are trained to cope with these. In more serious and rare cases, we will seek medical assistance locally, or in extremes, use our 24 hour UK emergency line.

You will be provided with full time medical cover. If required candidates will be treated in CMH Dhaka .

We expect girls to arrive at camp healthy, we are sleeping and eating in close proximity to each other at all times and must maintain a healthy environment to the group as a whole. If you develop an illness or injury at camp, we need to be aware of it right away in order to take actions to help you.

We will make every attempt to reach you if your pet becomes sick or injured. During your consultation, you will sign an Emergency Authorization that we will keep in your file. This form will authorize While You Were Out Pet Care to seek veterinary attention for your pets. The form allows you to specify the veterinarian and emergency clinic you prefer to use. It also authorizes us to choose another appropriate veterinarian should your preferred doctors be unavailable.

Although the Sheryll Princess is a heavy steel and very stable vessel, some people are prone to motion sickness even in airplanes and cars. We suggest that those who are concerned seek advice from their doctor or local pharmacist about motion sickness medication. In the event of serious health issues or injury, the U.S.C.G. and local emergency personnel will be notified. Those requiring medical assistance will be either attended to and/or removed from the vessel by emergency personnel.

While you are working for the cruise line whether it be onboard or off you are covered by them medically. If you are at sea and become ill, you may see the nurse and/or doctor for free in the ship's medical facilities. If you become so ill or injured that you are no longer able to finish your contract, you will disembark and absorb the costs of ongoing treatment yourself (often coved by your health insurance).

Generally, a sick or injured toad should be taken care of by a vet that deals with exotic animals or to a wildlife rescue center or similar facility.
