The exact meaning of a specification in a BISL is, of course, described by the reference manual for that particular BISL. But in general, the meaning of a BISL specification is a set of program modules that satisfy the specification. These program modules are to be written in the programming language specified. For example, the meaning of a LCL specification is a set of ANSI C program modules that satisfy the specification.
