Any normal vehicle should be able to conquer our gravel/dirt mountain roads. All of our cleaning crew, owners, and managers traverse these mountainous gravel roads daily in mini-vans, family cars, two-wheel drive pick-ups, and SUVs with no problems. A caveat, if it has snowed we'd strongly recommend a four-wheel drive.

Please make sure the surface of the windshield is clean. Then press the release mechanism on your docking cradle making sure its in the release position. Next firmly place your docking cradle against the window making sure the suction cup is attached. Finally lock the mechanism down.

Yes, but in the case of a left hand drive vehicle, prior permission (before shipping it) has to be obtained from the Land Transport Safety Authority office in Wellington. You will be given a licence in your name, not for the car. This means you cannot sell the vehicle, unless it's age is 20 years or more or the vehicle has been converted to right hand drive. Importation for Customs is a separate matter.

Mountain Kingsnakes are to some degree less available than other species on the open market. As with other snakes, it is far better to purchase these animals from reputable breeders either at reptile shows or via the Internet. This gives the buyer a better chance of obtaining healthy, locality specific animals (usually!). This is important when one considers the higher cost for this species compared to other types of Kingsnakes.
